The Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts' offense had a big night, peppering the Nashville Jr. Predators with 38 shots throughout the game. The Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts took the lead early in the third on a goal from Matt Mcelroy.
Brandon Rozema delivered for his team with 2 assists and Oliver Joensson did his part, adding 2 assists.
In the first, Bocianoski opened the scoring for Evansville with a goal at 7:35 with a helper from defenseman Davenport. Brown answered for Nashville with a goal at 18:15 with helpers from his teammates Hrebik and O’neal. Biffignani quickly followed with a goal at 18:56 with assists from his linemates, Gardner and Spain.
During the second period, Creekmur answered for the Jr. Thunderbolts with a goal at 8:55 with helpers from Rozema and Rowe. Zahoran netted a goal at 11:42. Alfieri quickly followed with a goal at 12:17.
In the third, Mcelroy answered for Evansville with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:10 with assists from his linemates, Rozema and Joensson. Luke scored a goal at 7:29 with helpers from Urvater and Joensson.
The Jr. Thunderbolts’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Tucker’s big night as he stopped 17 of the 20 shots he faced. Tucker’s counterpart, Silver, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 36, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts’ record to (5-8-0-0).
