The Jr. Thunderbolts fall to the RiverWolves 6-5

The Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts' defense had a poor night, allowing the Wausau RiverWolves 38 shots throughout the game. The Wausau RiverWolves took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Matt Irwin.

Kody Kifer contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jake Hannebrink did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Janne Rukamp chipped in with 2 goals and Tristen Hultberg had a busy night with 2 assists.

In the first period, Rukamp opened the scoring for Wausau with a goal at 15:29 with a helper from Broad.

In the second, Kifer finally put the Jr. Thunderbolts on the board with a goal at 10:36. Rukamp quickly followed with a goal at 12:30 with helpers from Renter and Johnston. Rowe quickly followed with a goal at 13:02 with assists from teammates Scott and Hannebrink. Irwin answered for Wausau with a goal at 16:06 with helpers from his linemates, Alton and Hempel. Irwin quickly followed with a goal at 16:46 with assists from Hultberg and Renter. Irwin deposited a goal at 19:41 with helpers from his teammates Hultberg and Renter.

In the third period, Winfield answered for Evansville with a goal at 8:43 with an assist from Bocianoski. Rozema put in a goal at 11:41 with helpers from his linemates, Heppner and Kifer. Irwin quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:17 with assists from Pinkert and Renter. Hannebrink answered for the Jr. Thunderbolts with a goal at 15:05 with helpers from his linemates, Kowalski and Scott .

This loss brings the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts’ record to (8-32-1-0).
