The Jr. Thunderbolts struggled against the Mustangs 5-2 in home game

The Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts struggled against the Peoria Mustangs allowing Jack Radley to score a hat trick as Evansville crushed Peoria 5-2 in a home game at Swonder Ice Arena in Evansville. As well, Bryson Linenburg came up big, stopping 52 of 57 shots throughout the game. The Peoria Mustangs took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Jack Radley.

Jack Healy did his part, adding 2 goals.

In the first, Winfield opened the scoring for the Jr. Thunderbolts with a goal at 4:23 with assists from teammates Ware and Hannebrink. Scott quickly followed with a goal at 5:50 with a helper from Rozema. Radley finally put the Mustangs on the board with a goal at 12:05 with an assist from Keil. Healy scored a goal at 19:24.

In the second period, Radley netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:50 with a helper from his linemate Bauer.

During the third, Healy deposited a goal at 2:02 with an assist from defenseman Layne. Radley scored a goal at 17:01 with a helper from fellow Mustangs forward Stewart.

This loss brings the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts’ record to (8-35-1-0).
