The Jr. Thunderbolts struggled against the Mustangs 6-1 in home game

The Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts' defense had a poor night, allowing the Peoria Mustangs 30 shots throughout the game. The Peoria Mustangs took the lead early in the second on a goal from Braden Stewart.

Blake Finley did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Rhett Mcdonald contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first period, Jackson opened the scoring for Peoria with a goal at 16:29 with helpers from his teammates Mcdonald and Zowin.

In the second, Stewart deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:07 with helpers from Keil and Power-Wayvon. Mcdonald put in a goal at 4:17 with assists from Layne and Healy. Keil scored a goal at 11:48 with helpers from Jackson and Finley. Healy netted a goal at 16:11 with assists from Mcdonald and Layne.

During the third period, Kifer finally put the Jr. Thunderbolts on the board with a goal at 2:05 with a helper from defenseman Rowe. Finley answered for Peoria with a goal at 5:17 with an assist from Stewart.

This loss brings the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts’ record to (2-2-0-0).
