THUNDERBOLTS GAMES ARE ON EVANSVILLE’ S WVHI-AM 1330

EVANSVILLE, IN— Set to embark on their inaugural campaign as a bona fide member club of the NA3HL elite junior hockey league circuit, the newly-minted Evansville ThunderBolts have solidified an all-encompassing radio presentation for their rapidly debuting 2015-16 hockey season. Through this arrangement, the ThunderBolts game broadcasts and daily update report will be launched to coincide with the commencement of initial training camp sessions.

 

Today, the Evansville ThunderBolts and Word Broadcasting have reached accord whereby Evansville radio station WVHI-AM 1330 will become the “RADIO HOME OF THE ‘BOLTS” as the official radio flagship station of all of the ThunderBolts live play-by-play broadcasts. Moreover, also included in this contractual agreement will be a daily radio update team report, “THE THUNDERBOLTS HOCKEY UPDATE.” This daily update team radio report will also be heard on WVHI-AM 1330, Monday through Friday at 5:00 pm. Still in discussion with both parties is a two-hour, on-location, ThunderBolts team radio show.

For the ‘Bolts maiden voyage NA3HL season of 2015-16, all games played by the Evansville ThunderBolts, pre- season, regular season and playoffs games, home and away in their entirety, will be aired live with all of the play- by-play action on WVHI-AM 1330. All ThunderBolts game broadcasts will consist of a half-hour Pre-Game Show as well as the “The ThunderBolts Star of the Game Show,” which will immediately follow all home game broadcast originations and the ThunderBolts Post Game Show with the latter program to follow after all ThunderBolts games.

WVHI-AM 1330 Senior Executive Stan Hoffman expressed great enthusiasm in looking forward to the partnership with the ThunderBolts. “WVHI-AM 1330 RADIO is proud to announce our newly-forged partnership with Terry Ficorelli and the Evansville ThunderBolts. We are thrilled to be the radio home of the ‘Bolts as we launch this incredible new and exciting elite junior team with, ‘Fic,’ the consummate professional, at the mike for all of the great play-by-play action. The radio “Voice of the Bolts,” Terry Ficorelli, is looking forward to his and the ThunderBolts association with WVHI-AM 1330. “We are both pleased and excited to have WVHI-AM 1330 as our radio flagship home in what promises to be an extraordinary first season for our first class, top-drawer elite junior hockey team. WVHI-AM 1330 has an excellent broadcast signal and coverage area both for our matinee game broadcasts as well as our evening games. Moreover, having the wonderful opportunity of working with Stan and his great staff is going to be fun and most enjoyable. This marketing/broadcast partnership is a perfect match.”

The ThunderBolts initial game broadcast with “Fic,” is set for FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH, when they travel to St. Louis to broach a two-games in two days series with Midwest Division archrivals, St. Louis Junior Blues. Opening face-off is on the docket for 7:00 pm with broadcast time on WVHI-AM 1330 being 6:30 pm.

Also included as a major, instrumental part of the ThunderBolts 2015-16 radio presentation will be a daily radio report, “THE THUNDERBOLTS HOCKEY UPDATE.” This daily team update report will be on the air MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AT 5:00 PM on WVHI-AM 1330 with the first report of the season from “Fic” coming MONDAY, AUGUST 15TH, the opening day of the ThunderBolts first-ever training camp at their home of Swonder Ice Arena.

The ThunderBolts and WVHI-AM 1330 are continuing discussions regarding a weekly, two-hour, on location Bolts radio show. More on that to come at a later date.

Not only will fans be able to “tune-up and tune-in” to all ‘Bolts games on WVHI-AM 1330, but also all of the games with “Fic” will be streamed on both the ThunderBolts and WVHI-AM 1330 respective websites at www.evv.bolts.com and www.wvhi.com. Fans can also watch and listen to the ThunderBolts games through the NA3HL FASTHOCKEY league-wide feed.
