Thunderbolts Players to Serve as Volunteers at Youth Resources Scooter Golf Scramble

EVANSVILLE, IN— With their official unveiling as newly-minted members of the elite junior hockey league, the NA3HL, on the docket for next weekend at their hockey home of Swonder Ice Arena, the Evansville ThunderBolts organization will, once again, become very active and visible participants and contributors to the Tri-State community.

Coming up this Monday, September 14th, no fewer than ten of the ThunderBolts finest on ice will be joined by General Manager/Head Coach Scott Fankhouser in prominently participating in the “Scooter Scramble” at Oak Meadow Country Club.

The ten ‘Bolts players will be volunteering their services to offer and add assistance along the Oak Meadow course while Coach Fankhouser will open-up his golf bag of on-course tricks in spearheading his own foursome of linksters, which will include Swonder Ice Arena General Manager Bill Nadeau.

The proceeds for this event will benefit the Robert “Scooter” Tiemann TEENPOWER Scholarship Fund as well as Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana.

THUNDERBOLTS PLAYERS VOLUNTEER TO PREPARE HOME ICE ARENA FOR NEXT WEEKEND’S OPENER

This Sunday, September 13th, the entire ThunderBolts team will be fully equipped, not with the latest in hockey playing paraphernalia, but with all of the latest cleaning accoutrements, agents, solutions and good old-fashioned elbow grease as our hometown debuting elite junior hockey team, in full frontal force, attacks complete and total clean-up duties, making ready their home ice palace of Swonder Ice Arena for next weekend’s grand opening two-game city-wide event.

‘Bolts players with the necessary cleaning apparatus will be in Spic ‘N’ Span mode in preparing for next Friday night, Sept. 18th and Saturday night, Sept. 19th when Point Mallard touches down in our town.

Both opening weekend games are set for 7:30 pm as the ThunderBolts are formally unveiled and introduced to the Evansville hockey mad community.
