EVANSVILLE, IN— Continuing their central theme and creed of offering exciting, entertaining elite junior hockey action in a FAN-FAMILY-FRIENDLY atmosphere, the newly-minted Evansville ThunderBolts unveiled their inaugural game schedule for their debut season in the NA3HL (North American 3 Hockey League).

The ThunderBolts will take flight on their 48-game regular season slate on Friday night, September 4th in St. Louis where they will be hosted by nearby brewing archrivals, the Junior Blues in the opening game of a two-game series in the Missouri city. Evansville’s initial weekend as a bona fide NA3HL franchise will conclude the following afternoon, Saturday, September 5th in a 2:00 pm matinee encore affair against the junior blue notes.

The ThunderBolts formally make their home premiere with a grand opening night extravaganza, Friday night September 18th when they lock horns with the Point Mallard Ducks from Decatur, Alabama. It marks the first of a two-game weekend series between the two league foes with game two on the docket for the following night, Saturday night, September 19th. The ThunderBolts two home opening weekend games will have an opening face-off of 7:30 pm at Swonder Ice Arena, the hockey home of the ‘Bolts.

Included in ThunderBolts General Manager/Head Coach Scott Fankhouser’s 48-game docket are 22-games at home and another 22 on the road. Four more ‘Bolts games will occur from December 16th through December 19th in Blaine, Minnesota where Evansville will participate in the NA3HL Annual Showcase Event. The opponents and official starting times of those games will be announced at a later date.

The FAN-FAMILY-FRIENDLY home schedule will feature exclusively weekend dates at Swonder Ice Arena. The ThunderBolts 22-home performances will consist of 11-Saturday night dates; 9-Friday night games and 2-more Sunday afternoon dates. All Friday and Saturday night home games will have an opening face-off of 7:30 pm while the pair of Sunday matinees will start at 1:00 pm.

Competing in the NA3HL Central Division, the ThunderBolts schedule will both emphasize and foster nearby geographic rivalries. Evansville will clash eight times each against the Atlanta Capitals, Peoria Mustangs, Point Mallard Ducks and St. Louis Junior Blues. They will collide with the likes of the Cincinnati Thunder and Nashville Junior Predators each six times.

The ThunderBolts schedule runs from September 4, 2015 to March 12, 2016. Should Evansville qualify for a post- season berth in the league playoffs, those playoffs will ensue at the conclusion of the regular season.
